Route 66 Celebrates 10 Years on the Wildwoods Boardwalk

By Sponsored

Step off the Wildwoods Boardwalk and into Route 66 Restaurant & Pizzeria, and be transported back to the good ole days of the 1950s! This year, Route 66 is celebrating 10 years of providing Wildwood patrons with a fun ‘50s-themed atmosphere and not-your-average boardwalk food.
With black-and-white checkered floors, bright neon lights and ‘50s memorabilia lining the walls, Route 66 is a family-friendly destination offering high-quality sandwiches, burgers, pizza, cheesesteaks, wraps, pasta, seafood platters and more. The diverse menu offers fresh, made-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner options at reasonable prices that the whole family will love.
The food isn’t the only thing that’s good at Route 66 – the entertainment is, too! Every night, the staff swings, shimmies and twists as they dance to classic ‘50s tunes.
From old records, to license plates, to dated restaurant menus, you’ll find an abundance of vintage memorabilia throughout the restaurant. Take a walk around and be reminded of a time of the past, and don’t forget to stop and take photos with Betty Boop and Elvis!
Owners Ria and Dino Pierelli share that when they purchased Route 66 10 years ago, many of this memorabilia was already there. However, they added their own style and personal touch to the restaurant, as well as enhanced the menu to make it their own. Now, Route 66 serves as a must-visit destination for both vacationers and locals alike, receiving a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award every year for the past 10 years.
Ria and Dino are no strangers to the restaurant business. For 10 years, the couple owned and operated Pierelli’s Pizza & Café in Linwood. This successful business was rated “Number 1 Pizza Slice” in two magazines for six years straight! Additionally, Dino comes from a fine dining background, and he brings those practices with him to Route 66. “You will always be treated well here,” he says, explaining that Route 66 offers nothing but great customer service alongside excellent food.
Come visit Ria and Dino and the friendly Route 66 staff for breakfast, lunch or dinner seven days a week! We suggest trying their famous Chicken Caesar Pasta, made with freshly chopped chicken breast sautéed in garlic, Caesar and spinach, and served over a bed of pasta. Or, maybe go for Route 66’s classic gyro, made with a minimum of 5-8% lamb content for more flavor.
Route 66 is located at 2700 Boardwalk, Wildwood, and is currently open weekdays 9 a.m. to midnight and weekends 8 a.m. to midnight, with the dining room closing at 10:30 p.m. Look out for lunch specials to celebrate Route 66’s 10th anniversary!
