Find That Shore Vibe at Surf Dog Bar & Grill

By Sponsored

The offshore place that cannot be missed is Surf Dog Bar & Grill, a beach haven among the mostly rural community of Woodbine. Opened in May 2014 and celebrating its sixth summer in business, this nautical-themed indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant serves as a “beach house” for local campers and their families. Located just 15 minutes from Sea Isle!
Inside Surf Dog, you’ll find a beautifully decorated dining room and bar. Classy yet casual, the intimate inside space is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing brunch, lunch or dinner with family and friends. Mouthwatering menu options include everything from cherry-smoked barbeque, filet mignon, burgers, brick oven pizza and bar bites. There is something for every member of your family!
GM Ford Phifer mentioned that some of the most exciting, tasty items Surf Dog offers aren’t even on the menu! Mac and cheese Mondays are great if you like a twist on the classic, with specials ranging from pulled pork to lobster mac and cheese. On taco Tuesdays, Surf Dog offers grilled flank steak tacos. Dine on Wednesday for half priced smoked wings and bar bingo! Thursday’s special is $2 off steamers and Quizzo! Friday night is prime rib night. Sunday is the ever so popular barbeque bonanza! And to top it off, Surf Dog has a Sunday Bloody Mary special for only $2.50 that runs all day long!
Pair your meal with a cool cocktail such as the Blueberry Martini, Surf Dog’s signature drink. Additionally, Surf Dog has 17 beers on tap which are constantly rotating. At any given time, at least four local breweries are featured such as Cape May Brewing Co., Ludlam Island Brewery, 7 Mile Brewery and Pinelands Brewing Company. Sometimes Surf Dog has beer from these local breweries that’s less than 24 hours old! Don’t miss ladies’ night on Friday, with $4 house wines, $4 White Claws and $6 cosmos.
Outside, Surf Dog features a spacious patio with seating as well as the Sand Bar, Woodbine’s very own beach bar. Cornhole and bean bag toss boards are available on the patio, so the kids can play while mom and dad relax with a cold margarita or beer in hand. Or, the adults can play and let the children in them shine! Next to the bar is a smoker which cooks massive amounts of cherry-smoked wings and baby back ribs, “naked wings,” pulled pork and brisket. It’s ready for you to indulge with Surf Dog’s homemade blackberry BBQ sauce. As the sun sets on Saturdays, gather around the bonfire pit and listen to the sounds of live musicians and bands. Don’t leave Fido at home, Surf Dog’s patio is dog friendly!
Connected to Surf Dog is a banquet hall, available for special events and parties. The multi-purpose hall can be rented for all types of events including baby or bridal showers, weddings, birthdays, graduations or funerals. With seating for up to 100 people, Surf Dog caters your event with its delicious American cuisine – you can even have the catering come to you!
Dedicated to providing a unique dining experience to its visitors, Surf Dog is more than just great food and service. Come check out Surf Dog’s fun atmosphere seven days a week. Surf Dog is one of the few restaurants and bars in the area that is open year-round. When customers ask for a menu change, Surf Dog listens! New items include blackened ahi tuna, a new Reuben and an American gravy burger. Hot dogs are another great choice, with everything from a classic dog to the eye-catching new cow pig foot long!
Surf Dog is located at 1563 DeHirsch Ave., Woodbine. For more information, call (609) 427-6011 or visit www.surfdogbarandgrill.com. Find Surf Dog on Facebook at “Surf Dog Bar and Grill” to stay up to date on weekly specials!
