Finding the right shop to get a haircut can be a tricky task. What make one shop more special than another? The new Railroad Barbershop not only provides barber services, but an old fashion Barbershop experience with modern appeal.
Owner Brian Leach used to drive all the way to Atlantic City to get his hair cut until he found Angel’s Barbershop in Cape May Court House which recently closed. Rather than search for another shop, Brian thought he would open a high end barbershop in Cape May County, where people like him could get a quality cut and hot shave.
“I want people to come in, feel comfortable, receive expert services and enjoy a neighborhood type deal,” Brian said.
The barbers Brian assembled together are personable, skilled and have a following as well as a passion for their job.
Samuel Gellura is a social worker during the day for family services and a barber at night.
Lucy Rodriguez ran Angel’s Barbershop for many years and now works at Railroad.
Marie Giambalvo has been barbering for over 28 years and has owned barbershops before.
Jonathon Swain has been a barber for eight years and loves connecting with his clients.
“My favorite part about barbering is the whole experience,” Jonathon said. “I like talking to people, giving them a good haircut, having them like it and come back, which continues to build into a relationship.” For Jonathon it is not just about the haircut, but building a good relationship.
Jamie Leach is the front desk receptionist. She greets customers with a friendly smile and is happy to direct them to an available barber
Take a seat in one of the vintage style barber chair and enjoy the services offered including classic hot towel shaves with cut, hot towel shaves, shampoos, haircuts, shape ups, creative hair designs and beard or mustache trims.
