‘Quiet Season,’ but Stripers Are Biting!

By Al Campbell

COLD SPRING — “The stripers are biting!,” proclaimed Dan Glaze, president of the Cape May County Party and Charter Boat Association, to several hundred members of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce at the group’s monthly meeting Dec. 20 at Lobster House Restaurant.
Glaze said that, while the favored fish have finally returned to the near-shore waters of Cape May County, the sea conditions have been horrendous.
Stripers are much sought by anglers who seek to hook them from beaches along Cape May County as well as in the choppy waters of the Atlantic.
