Paolella Installed President Of Volunteer Resource Group

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Julie Paolella, director of Volunteer Services at Cape Regional Medical Center, was installed as president of the New Jersey Association of Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals (NJAHVRP) at their annual meeting Jan. 22. During her 10-year career as an administrator of volunteer services, Paolella has provided leadership to more than 750 volunteers and has successfully introduced innovative initiatives to departments with patient and visitor satisfaction in mind.
A member of NJAHVRP for nearly a decade, Paolella has held several board positions before accepting the presidency for the 2010 term. She earned CAVS status (Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services) from the American Hospital Association, American Society of Directors of Volunteer Services as well as CVA (Certified Volunteer Administrator) from Rutgers University.
When asked what has served as career motivation, Paolella offered, “Volunteers are truly unpaid service heroes; working with them is a sincere privilege. Membership with NJAHVRP provides priceless, on-going education and an opportunity to interact with colleagues from across the state, sharing ideas and addressing common issues in our profession.”
Paolella has been employed at Cape Regional Medical Center since 2007 and also serves as liaison to the auxiliary as well as Director of Pastoral Care Services.
