Operation Homefront Collects Christmas Toys for Local Military Children

Thanks to the generous people of Cape May County, local military children, whose parents serve at U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, local veterans’ posts and the 253rd Army National Guard, in Court House, received donated toys collected from their local Dollar Tree store patrons in North Cape May and Rio Grande.

The store managers of Dollar Tree’s locations in Rio Grande, North Cape May and Wildwood spearheaded their respective stores’ efforts, with the help of their checkout staff.

North Wildwood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5941 Commander Joe Orlando and Cape May Post 386 Auxiliary to the VFW member Hilda Orlando collected the boxes of toys and delivered them on behalf of the donors.
