NJAR Sponsors New Jersey Network Programming

By Herald Staff

EDISON — New Jersey’s REALTORS provide valuable insight and market knowledge to help guide consumers through what may be the largest financial decision of their lives.
To help spread the message about opportunities in the current market, the New Jersey Association of REALTORS (NJAR) is proud to embark on its eighth consecutive year of sponsorship of the New Jersey Network (NJN).
This year’s sponsorship includes a 30-second spot of 2010 NJAR® President Judy Appleby discussing the important role of New Jersey’s REALTORS in building communities. New this year, NJAR® Chief Executive Officer Jarrod Grasso is delivering a quarterly “State of the Market” spot to highlight the opportunities in the Garden State’s current real estate market.
Both spots emphasize NJAR’s Get the REAL Story public education campaign and showcase www.REALstoryNJ.com as a source for key information.
“New Jersey’s REALTORS®, like the New Jersey Network, are dedicated to providing the utmost service to New Jersey residents,” said Appleby. “NJAR® looks forward to continuing our longstanding partnership with the state’s premier public television network.”
The Get the REAL Story® messages from Appleby and Grasso will rotate during primetime weeknight and weekend afternoon programming, such as “This Old House,” “Antiques Roadshow,” and “Lidia’s Italy.” The spots debuted Feb. 15, and will continue through April 30, which is the initial contract deadline for consumers seeking to qualify for the homebuyer tax credits. The spots will resume in the fall from mid-September to October.
An additional 30-second spot, focusing on NJAR®’s legislative advocacy efforts, will air during NJN’s news and public affairs programming. As an advocate for private property rights and the REALTORS of New Jersey, NJAR remains active in Trenton and locally to protect the rights of New Jersey home and business owners.
Through the sponsorship of NJN’s public affairs programming, NJAR’s legislative advocacy message is conveyed during coverage of widespread events, such as the governor’s budget address.
NJN is the state’s educational telecommunications network providing universal access to award-winning programs and services that address the special needs of New Jersey and its citizens. NJN Public Television, a PBS member, lists the local broadcast channels online at www.njn.net/ digital. For more information about NJN, visit www.njn.net.
The New Jersey Association of REALTORS®, with approximately 50,000 REALTOR and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® members, is one of the largest trade organizations in the state. Its membership is comprised of real estate professionals who subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and are members of the national and local REALTOR® organizations.
As the leading advocate for the real estate industry and private property rights in New Jersey, NJAR is committed to protecting the dream of homeownership. For more information, please visit www.njar.com.
