North End Thrift has opened a new location at 1400 Texas Ave., Cape May, which originally opened last summer under the name North End Garage.
The name was later changed to North End Antiques and now is North End Thrift. Owner Peter Wilson said that the shop will be more like his shop North End Thrift at 901 Bayshore Rd. in Villas.
“We were focused on high end antiques at one time in Cape May, but now we sell reasonably priced antiques, collectibles, shabby chic, mantiques (antiques for men) estate and vintage jewelry and thrift items,” Wilson said. “There are a few dealers who bring their own style and charm to the shop.”
North End Thrift specializes in house clean-outs and buys and sells almost anything. They have a fully insured service that can clean out, move or buy the contents of your home quickly and efficiently. It is amazing the variety and selection of items found in the two locations.
Every time you stop in, you’ll see something new. There is a great selection of jewelry at both shops. You can buy and sell military items and coins.
Wilson’s slogan is, “We buy and sell almost anything.”
Mantiques include duck decoys, military collectibles, nautical items, tools, fishing and hunting items as well as musical instruments. You can buy and sell gold and silver, weighed on state certified scales, for the highest prices in the county.
Today’s Price Gold $35 dwt 14Kt and $20 ozt sterling silver. When you mention this article, Wilson said that he would pay 10 percent extra on top of his already high prices for the month of August.
Come out and help them celebrate at 1400 Texas Ave., Cape May on Sat. Aug. 11 from noon-2 p.m., when 98.7 The Coast will be live on location giving away free prizes.
If you have something to sell, bring it in for a free appraisal. North End Thrift is family owned and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. year round.
