Middle Chamber to Honor 2015 ‘Business Person of the Year’

COURT HOUSE — The membership of the Middle Township Chamber of Commerce has chosen Jeffrey Vecere DMD as the 2015 recipient of its most prestigious honor, “Business Person of the Year.” Carol Sawyer, Chamber President announced that Dr. Vecere will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual “Business of the Year” Dinner on April 17 at “The Links Club” of the Stone Harbor Golf Club. Recipients are recognized for their successes not only in business but for their contributions to the public and the business community.
Dr. Vecere is owner/practitioner of Vecere Orthodontics, a graduate of Middle Township High School, he has been practicing Orthodontic Medicine since 1982. Dr. Vecere has been recognized by the New Jersey Magazine as one of the top dentist in New Jersey. His volunteer efforts at the community Dental Health Center have been recognized by the County Freeholders and the Medical community. In addition to volunteering his professional services Jeff has given countless hours and leadership to MTHS Boosters club, and assistance with educating students at Vocational/Technical School. He is dedicated to putting smiles on the faces of the children of Cape May County and generously donates his services to helping hundreds of our youth who cannot afford needed orthodontics.
The nominating process begins with former Business Persons of the Year submitting names and reasons why they feel that the nominee should receive the honor. Those names are then screened by a panel of past recipients of the award and reduced to three nominees. The names of the three finalists are then placed on a ballot to be voted upon by the chamber membership. The 2015 “Business of the Year Awards Dinner“ is made possible through the sponsorships of Avalon Golf Club, Shore Title , Raff Recycling , J. Byrne Insurance Agency and Sturdy Saving Bank .
The Chamber also congratulates Thomas P. Byrne of the J Byrne Insurance Agency and Mike DiPalantino of DiPalantino Contractors for also being nominated for this year’s award. “Being nominated for this award is a great honor.
