Merchants Will Learn Benefits of Social Media

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Understand how Facebook, Twitter, and other forms of social media can drive customers to your business.
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Social Networking Seminar designed to enhance business marketing efforts using Web-based tools, according to a release.
The seminar will explore how to establish a presence on social networking Web sites such as Facebook, and Twitter. Best of all, participants will learn how to track the success of these methods instead of wondering if their message is reaching customers and developing new business leads.
Guest speaker Geoffrey Pettifer is director of College Marketing for Atlantic Cape Community College. Pettifer has won national and regional awards for marketing campaigns, publications and special events, and as a team leader, plays a key role in the design, development and launch of new media marketing strategies for ACCC.
The event will be Nov. 10, at Atlantic Cape Community College, Cape May County Campus from 8:30 – 10 a.m.
Networking, coffee and danish will be available from 8 – 8:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is required, $20 per person with limited seating. For information, call (609) 465-7181 ext.104 or visit www.capemaycountychamber.com
The Chamber’s food drive willo be aided by those attending bringing non-perishable items to any upcoming event or drop them off at the Chamber office and help us reach our goal of 1000 donated items for our less fortunate friends and neighbors throughout Cape May County.
