HomeStead Pitches Promo Idea

By Al Campbell

WEST CAPE MAY — The success of many businesses here depends on the popularity of the city and its attractions.
Recognizing that relationship, HomeStead Real Estate Co., 846 Broadway, has recently instituted a project designed to promote not only itself, but Cape May and its beaches.
Homestead has printed nine-inch green buckets that read “I dig Cape May” and feature a swimming dolphin. The sand buckets and the matching white shovels will be distributed to children whose families are renting vacation homes from Homestead.
In addition to the “I dig Cape May” campaign, Homestead has printed six-foot green and white canvas beach umbrellas. The umbrellas carry the message “Come for a Week…Stay for a Lifetime.”
Distributed to those homeowners who rent their properties through HomeStead and who provide beach boxes for their summer guests, those umbrellas have the dual purpose of promoting the city as a home away from home and rewarding local homeowners who provide extra amenities for their renters during the summer.
“It is our way to promote Cape May and to thank those homeowners who rent their properties with the HomeStead Real Estate Company. These umbrellas represent one more benefit for those homeowners who serve their guests’ needs,” stated Dagmer Chew, owner and broker of HomeStead Real Estate Company, in a release.
