Hargest Wins Porsche in Competition

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Tom Hargest, owner and head designer of Hargest Custom Cabinetry, 2220 Route 9, of this community, was handed the keys to a 2009 Porsche Boxster Jan. 15 as grand prize winner of the 2008 Olympic Challenge sales competition sponsored by QCCI, manufacturer of Quality Custom Cabinetry and Saxton Cabinetry.
The firm’s CEO Glenn L. Good presided over the ceremony. Later in the day, Hargest had the honor of drawing the winners of the competition’s other top prizes: an Audi A4 that went to Eric Ravikio of Apple Kitchens in Moorestown, and a $10,000 Shopping Spree won by James Secky of JE Secky andAssociates, Inc. in Southern Pines, N.C.
Nearly 175 authorized QCCI kitchen/bath designers from across the nation competed in the multi-tiered competition, which was based on the highest accumulation of points earned between April 14 and Dec. 31 last year. ”Rather than rewarding one top winner, our Olympic Challenge gave each entrant the opportunity to move up through Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal levels of competition, with their progress posted on our dealer website,” explained Good in a release. ”It was a great way to thank our loyal customers, and to give them added incentive to succeed during some very trying economic times.”
Hargest emerged as grand prize winner with over $2.2 million in the retail sale of Quality Custom Cabinetry and the more contemporary Saxton Cabinetry – utilized in 25 high-end custom kitchen designs and built-ins. Tom and wife Darcy, who manages the business, have been a QCCI dealer since 2005.
Hargest Custom Cabinetry specializes in the design and installation of high-end custom kitchens, baths, wet bars, media and family rooms for customers throughout Cape May, Avalon and Stone Harbor.
According to the releasae, “They are known for their Nantucket and French Country designs that feature beautifully carved decorative embellishments and details, ornate custom hoods, as well as custom color finishes.”
In addition to working directly with homeowners, Hargest collaborates with area builders and decorators, such as Summerhouse Design Group, as well as architectural firms including Asher Associates Architects, Blane Steinman Architects, and Olivieri Shousky Kiss Architects.
”Since the day we started our business we have lived by the motto: ‘Quality in all things, and all things for the glory of God.’ Quality Custom Cabinetry follows this same mission and has made a definite contribution to our success,” Hargest stated.
Hargest Custom Cabinetry was founded in 1994.
