Habitat for Humanity Calls for Volunteers in 2020

By Sponsored

There are an abundant number of organizations that serve and protect Cape May County residents, and they need your help. We count on them to be there when their services are most needed, and there is always an opportunity to return the favor.
Habitat for Humanity and countless others need volunteers to help them survive, and it doesn’t have to be a major commitment of time. This year, if you’ve not already committed to doing so, why not set aside a few hours to do volunteer work?
Volunteering doesn’t just help the communities and causes to which you’re giving your time, treasure or talent — it benefits you, too. It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests and make new friends, improve your social skills and help your community.
Studies have shown improved mental and physical health and a reduction in stress, anger and anxiety. It’s also a fun way to pursue what interests you and provides a sense of purpose.
Habitat for Humanity Cape May has opportunities in the ReStore for greeting and assisting customers, cashiering, re-stocking, tidying and organizing, as well as aiding the business operations with graphic design, phone calls, data entry and other office-related needs.
To sign up, visit www.habitatcapemaycounty.org/volunteer-signup.
Let’s all choose to help others in a big way in 2020 by volunteering for one of the many organizations that help us. Plug in, and lend your talents for a stronger community.
