WILDWOOD – The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce held the 78th Annual Installation Dinner on September 29, 2016 at Urie’s Waterfront Restaurant. The evening started with 80 plus local business members networking. Freeholder Gerald Thorton installed the new slate of officers including Board President Lisa Rendzak; Immediate Past President Jacqueline Fiore; 1st Vice President Angel Daniels; 2nd Vice President Joe Murray; Board Legal Counsel Alan Gould; Treasurer Lori Bradshaw Roach; Secretary Jodie DiEduardo; At Large Member Shelia Brown; At Large Member Joyce Gould; and Board of Directors Jim Barnabei, Karen Bohme, Joseph Breuss, Denis Brown, Patrick Davenport, Karen Dickinson, Kari Edwards, Nick Konides, Bill Oakley, Eileen Sinn, Valerie Trivelis and Brian VanderHorn Jr. Tracey DuFault, Executive Director of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce, served as MC for this event.
During this annual event, the organization presented the 2016 award winners in nine categories. Tracey DuFault stated, “This is such a special night for the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce as we install our officers and recognize some of our members for their achievements over the past year. Chamber members are asked to nominate local businesses, organizations, individuals and municipalities in various categories, at which time a committee reviews these nominations to select a winner in each category.”
Winners for the 2016 year were: 2016 President’s Award – Joyce and Alan Gould; 2016 Volunteer of the Year – Chandi Ankrum; Business Person of Year – Michelle Rutkowski; 2016 Community Betterment Awards – Wildwood Crest Police Department, Wildwood Police Department, North Wildwood Police Department and West Wildwood Police Department; 2016 Trendsetter Award – Fresh on Fifth; Longevity Awards – Laura’s Fudge, 90th Anniversary and Starlight Fleet, 40th Anniversary; 2016 Tourism Award – Stallion Marketing & The Anglesea Food Truck Events; 2016 Customer Service Award – Johnson’s Popcorn; 2016 Street Scape Awards – GWTIDA Advertising Committee and The Morey Organization.
