‘Good Guy’ Dean Tyler Back on WIBBAGE FM

OCEAN VIEW — Sat., July 10, WIBBAGE FM 94.3 and Down the Shore with Philly Bill Culp will present a historic on-air interview and conversation with one of the country’s broadcast pioneers, original “Wibbage Good Guy” Dean Tyler.
This unique event from10 a.m. to 2 p.m., shares the history of Philadelphia’s WIBG Radio, the first 24/7 radio station that set the standard for Rock and Roll radio in the country.
Tyler joined WIBG Radio in 1960 and from there went on to other Philadelphia radio stations as an on-air personality and radio executive, where he created the “Station of the Stars” and “Magic” formats that swept the country.
Tyler has received many industry and other awards, including the Ken Garland Lifetime Achievement Award for his work with the March of Dimes Birth Defect Foundations. In 2002, Dean Tyler was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers “Hall of Fame.”
