COURT HOUSE — Florence (Flo) Smith has been honored with the Service Excellence Award for Dec. at Cape Regional Medical Center for her exceptional team work and patient-centered customer service skills.
“It is a joy to work with Flo. She is always smiling and goes above and beyond in everything she does,” stated Cindy Kraemer. “Flo works tirelessly to help our department run smoothly. She is the heart and soul of The Diabetes Center,” Cindy added.
“Her sweet spirit permeates our center. As a newcomer to The Diabetes Center, I am thankful to Flo for all her help,” stated Jan Bove. “Flo is such a blessing to our department. She is always willing to help our patients in any way possible in addition to her coworkers,” stated Patti Birchell. “Without Flo, we would not be able to do what we do,” added Kathleen Young.
Ms. Smith has been a member of the Cape Regional Medical Center team since 2001. She began her career at Cape Regional in Outpatient Registration and then transferred to Same Day Surgery providing clerical support in patient registration and pain management. In 2010, Ms. Smith was promoted to Department Secretary in The Diabetes Center.
Flo is the proud mother of three grown children, Michael, Nicole, and Ally and three grandchildren, Cara, Brandon and Summer. She lives in South Dennis, New Jersey.
