El Condado Presenta el Dia de Recursos de Salud/County Hosts Healthcare Resource Day

La Freeholder del Condado de Cape May, Kristine Gabor, se complace en invitar al púbico al Día Anual de Recursos de Salud el Sábado 23 de Abril de 2016 en el Centro de Convenciones de Wildwood.
El Día de Recursos de Salud es un evento gratuito patrocinado por el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Cape May se llevara a cabo de 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
En el lugar estarán departamentos claves del condado que juegan un papel especial en satisfacer las necesidades de salud de la comunidad como es Crest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (Centro de ancianos y rehabilitación) y también la Office of Aging and Disability Services (Oficina para servicios a personas de edad avanzada o con necesidades especiales).
Además, se prestaran servicios gratuitos de chequeos de alta presión, diabetes, colesterol, enfermedad periférico arterial, y riesgo de fracturas por parte de Parish Nurse Program del Cape Regional Medical Center.
La atracción del día será la presentación de la experta en nutrición Profesora Asociada Marilou Rochford de la Universidad Rutgers.
También habrá más de 30 exhibidores representando varios servicios de salud que se prestan a los residentes del Condado, algunos de estas organizaciones sin ánimo de lucro y grupos voluntarios como Voluntarios en Medicina (VIM), NJ Shares, Brendan’s Fun and Gilda’s Club. De Igual importancia serán los exhibidores de una gama del sector privado como Family Success Center of Cape May County, Synergy Home Care. Habrán exhibidores de importantes servicios de salud dentro del Condado, incluyendo, The ARC of Cape May, South Jersey Aids Alliance y Cape Regional Medical Center.

Cape May County Freeholder Kristine Gabor is pleased to invite the public to the county’s annual Healthcare Resource Day to take place on Saturday, April 23 at the Wildwoods Convention Center.
The free Healthcare Resource Day sponsored by the Cape May County Health Department will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
On hand will be key county departments that play a role in meeting community health needs such as Crest Heaven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and the Office of Aging and Disability Services.
Additionally, there will be free screenings by the Parish Nurse Program of the Cape Regional Medical Center for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and peripheral artery disease and fracture risk.
A major highlight of the day will be a presentation by a local expert on nutrition; 11:00 a.m. – “Eating Better on a Budget,” Associate Professor Marilou Rochford, Rutgers University.
In addition, there will be more than 30 exhibitors representing various health services provided to county residents. There will be exhibits from nonprofit organizations and volunteer groups such as Volunteers in Medicine, NJ Shares, Brendan’s Fund and Gilda’s Club. Equally important will be an array of private sector exhibitors including the Family Success Center of Cape May County, Synergy Home Care. There will also be exhibits on important healthcare services within the county, including The ARC of Cape May County, South Jersey Aids Alliance and Cape Regional Medical Center.
