Dutill Cape Regional’s Employee of the Month

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Margaret (Peg) Dutill is Cape Regional Medical Center’s “Special Touch Volunteer of the Month” for February.
Duthill has contributed more than 650 hours of volunteer service as an Errand Volunteer since joining the volunteer team in October, 2007. She provides a vital service to the hospital by helping with the transport of patients at discharge, running errands for the various units and making deliveries of patient mail.
One of Duthill’s award nominators offered that “Peg gets the job done efficiently, promptly, and pleasantly” and that she is well-liked by all of her volunteer peers.
Duthill’s former career included work as a Tastykake Floor Monitor. She enjoys taking walks, doing crafts and gardening at home in Villas. Peg, and her late husband, Samuel, were married for 53 years and have two sons, Michael and Kevin, and five grandchildren.
“I never expected this in a million years! This was a real surprise,” exclaimed Dutill. “I like showing people kindness and doing things for them.”
