Dough Boy’s Grand Opening!

OCEAN VIEW — Dough Boy’s celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sat., June 26. Curtis and Joyce Palmer, formerly of Clayton, and owners of CJ Mechanical in Williamstown, are the proud owners of Dough Boy’s.
The Palmers were seasonal residents of Sea Isle City since 1993 and moved to that city as year-round residents in 2008. They saw a need for a quality bakery in the area and plans for Dough Boy’s were underway.
It was important to Curtis and Joyce to offer quality fresh baked goods such as artisan breads, muffins, bagels and much more. It was so important that their oven was shipped over from Italy. Dough Boy’s does all their baking daily on the premises.
You will find artisan breads, such as green olive and eight oats; Mexican Bolillo rolls (bow-lee-yoh) in white and wheat. Bolillo rolls are similar to French bread—crispy flavorful crust and soft, chewy crumb in a football shape – great for dinner or sandwich rolls, as well as Kaiser and steak rolls.
Breads are also available in white, wheat, rye (seeded and unseeded), pumpernickel and rye and plain pumpernickel breads, all of which upon request will be sliced for you.
With over seven different varieties of bagels (honey wheat, onion, sesame, poppy, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, plain and everything), over five different types of muffins (try the carrot cake with cream cheese icing), fried donuts, filled donuts (their crème-filled donut is already a favorite of many in the know), sticky buns, with and without nuts and raisins, danishes, crumb cake, fritters, croissants, turnovers, pepperoni breads, ham and cheese pockets and much more. Oh, and don’t leave without one of their traditional Italian tomato pies.
Dough Boy’s offers Green Mountain Coffee daily in four varieties: Breakfast, Columbian Decaf, Dark Magic and French Vanilla.
Stop in for one of their breakfast or lunch specials and relax inside at one of their high tops tables and catch your morning or midday news or sit outside on their patio with your laptop. Dough Boy’s offers free Wi-Fi service.
For that sweet tooth and dessert cravings, Italian cookies and chocolate-covered pretzels are available.
Having company? Call ahead and order a breakfast tray of bagels and donuts for pick up.
