The Cape May Photography Club and its members are the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) Volunteers of the Month for July. MAC Chief Outreach Officer Mary Stewart nominated the club for its contribution to MAC’s Carroll Gallery Spring Exhibit, “The Iconic Cape May Lighthouse: From the Pages of ‘The First Resort’.”
More than 40 works featuring the Cape May Lighthouse from 19 participating photographers of the club are on display as part of this exhibit celebrating the iconic beacon. Photos taken by club photographers capture the beacon in all its variety and splendor. Shown here, at the Cape May Lighthouse, at Cape May Point State Park, Lower Township, are members of the club.
Club members include Robert Finlay, Richard Ozmore, Dottie Rogers, Jim Brennan, Jimm Ross and Eloise Boccella. “We are so grateful to these wonderful photographers for their willingness to participate in this exhibit,” said Stewart. “Their work has added a wonderful dimension to the visitor’s exhibit experience, each photographer sharing his or her own unique perspective on this much-photographed historic site.”
The Carroll Gallery is in the Carriage House of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington Street, Cape May. The free exhibit is presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) and is open daily through Sunday, Nov. 3.
