In response to the overwhelming demand placed on Cape Regional Medical Center in response to COVID-19, the Cape May County Chamber sponsored a yard sign campaign in support of our Healthcare Heroes at Cape Regional during this crisis. On Wednesday, July 29, Chamber Chairman Doug Burke presented a $1200 check to Kelly Benigno, Nursing Director with Cape Regional Medical Center Emergency Department.
“It is greatly appreciated by the Cape Regional Team Members to know that the business community supports our Healthcare Heroes with a donation for personal protection equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Benigno on accepting the check.
“Cape May County is a small community that supports each other, and the Chamber is proud to support our community hospital, Cape Regional. We could not maintain the family-oriented lifestyle of our county dependent on a seasonal tourism economy without a partner like Cape Regional Medical Center and their entire team,” said Doug Burke. “The COVID-19 pandemic has been hard on everyone, but no one has probably been as touched by it as our family, friends, and neighbors working in the medical field.”
