Cape Assist Receives Horizon Grant

WILDWOOD — Cape Assist received a grant in the amount of $15,000 from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey. The grant will fund the Wellness Initiative for Senior Education Program. (WISE).
“This grant from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey will enable Cape Assist to continue our important work with older adults,” said Peggy Brady, Prevention coordinator of Com-munity Initiatives.
“The WISE Program is a six-week program that will provide older adults with the ability to understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions. The program will also give older adults the ability to engage in self care and chronic disease management,” she added.
“We are delighted to partner with Cape Assist,” said Larry Altman, executive director of the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey. “The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey is dedicated to supporting charitable organizations making an impact in the lives of people across New Jersey.”
