Campground Owners CPR/First Aid Certified

By Press Release

During the past month, New Jersey Campground owners focused on campground safety. The recent changes with the Public Bathing Regulations (PBR) meant many changes for New Jersey campgrounds along with requirements of AED devices and CPR certification renewals.

Joann DelVescio, Executive Director of NJCOA, worked closely with New Jersey Department of Health to make sure the campground owners were informed and educated on the changes in the Public Bathing Regulations. Many owners participated in the free webinars held by the NJ Department of Health. Judy LaPorta, Little Oaks Campground, Cape May Court House, participated in the webinar and commented, “I liked the webinar. It was educational plus I could take my time and make sure I understood the information being presented.” LaPorta feels confident about her knowledge of the code changes. DelVescio stated, “NJ Department of Health was very eager to work with us and make sure our members were knowledgeable about the changes.”
