Boat Parade Brings Christmas in July to Wildwoods

By Jack Fichter

WILDWOOD – Santa Claus came to the Wildwoods early this year.
He brought with him Snoopy, Mayor Ernie Troiano, the Grinch and a string band.
The 21st annual Christmas in July Boat Parade was held Saturday July 18. The procession started while the sun was shining in North Wildwood in Beach Creek near Sunset Bay restaurant.
By the time the parade reached Sunset Lake, the sun had set and the boats were illuminated by lights and one boat by lasers.
Crowds were thick from North Wildwood south to the Bayview Inn on Sunset Lake.
