COURT HOUSE — Representing Beachcomber Camping Resort and the Brodesser/Gomez Family, Tammy (Brodesser) Gomez and Ken Gomez, accompanied by Jamie Barth, Director of Marketing, and Debbie Imrisik, Activity Director, presented a check for $27,000 to David Cho, M.D., Assistant Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Cape Regional Medical Center, on Dec. 12, 2013. The occasion marked the 20th year that Beachcomber Camping Resort has held major “fun-raising” events to benefit Cape Regional Medical Center.
“Beachcomber Camping Resort is pleased to present Cape Regional Medical Center with the proceeds of our 2013 ‘Fun-Raising’ events,” stated Tammy and Ken Gomez. “We are delighted to contribute $27,000 to the Cancer Center Capital Campaign, bringing our total contributions to date to over $348,500.”
“Almost everyone is touched by cancer at some point-whether personally, or through a loved one. TrueBeam Technology enables us to treat even the most challenging cases with unprecedented speed and precision,” stated David Cho, M.D., Assistant Medical Director of Brodesser Cancer Center at Cape Regional Medical Center. “We are now able to treat prostate cancer in 5 versus 40 treatments and, in some lung cancers, 3 versus 35 treatments. Cape Regional Medical Center is the only cancer center in this region that is able to provide this level of technology and expertise.”
“We are extremely grateful to the Brodesser and Gomez families and Beachcomber Camping Resort for their ongoing commitment to the Cancer Center at Cape Regional Medical Center,” stated Joanne Carrocino, FACHE, President and CEO. “Their long-standing support and commitment to Cape Regional Medical Center and the community we serve enable us to provide state-of-the-art cancer care to the residents of Cape May County.”
