At Cape Hope Cares’ monthly meeting Sept. 18 at Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, a representative from Avalon Manor Improvement Assoc. presented a donation in the amount of $1,900 to the board members of Cape Hope. Proceeds came from the second annual “Pancake Breakfast for Hope.”
Cape Hope is a local outreach group that provides common necessities to the less fortunate and the marginalized, while bringing future hope and stability through training, support and care. For more information, visit CapeHopeCares.org.
Since its founding in 1962, Avalon Manor Improvement Assoc. (A.M.I.A.) has been a unique group whose main function is to unite property owners and give the community a voice in the township. Saturday Morning Pancakes is one of their main sources of income. Portions of their yearly proceeds go to local charities like the zoo, H4H, the Vets Memorial in Vineland, Christmas Angels, etc. This year’s “Breakfast for Hope” was a good fit for the “end of season” closeout of overstocked goods.
