Avalon Lions Donate to Volunteers in Medicine

The Avalon Lions Club has presented a $6

By Press Release

The Avalon Lions Club announced Sept. 25 that the organization has been named Volunteers in Medicine’s (VIM) 2019 Community Partner.
At VIM’s annual celebration, held this year at the Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, the Lions presented a check for $6,000 to help the organization’s efforts in providing health care to needy families.
During the event, the Lions were recognized for their support by U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-2nd), Sen. Bob Andrzejczak (D-1st), and Sen. Chris Brown (R-2nd), along with county and local leaders.
VIM is one of more than a dozen charities in Cape May County aided by the Avalon Lions Club thanks to donations to their non-profit foundation.
