MAYS LANDING – In recognition of National Lineworker Appreciation Day, Atlantic City Electric honors the men and women who work tirelessly, day-in and day-out, serving electric customers across the region. Atlantic City Electric celebrates electric field workers, including those who work in substations, on underground and overhead systems, and in other areas of Atlantic City Electric’s electric distribution system. They respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on weekends and holidays, and in challenging conditions to keep the lights on for customers.

“Atlantic City Electric’s lineworkers have a well-deserved reputation for answering the call for help, whether it’s responding to customers in southern New Jersey or volunteering when others are in need across the country,” said Tyler Anthony, senior vice president & COO, Pepco Holdings, which includes Atlantic City Electric. “Often, lineworkers face challenging conditions, including this March when our crews worked around the clock restoring service to customers hit hard by winter storms. Our crews also joined mutual assistance efforts in the southeastern U.S. and Puerto Rico following the devastating Hurricanes Irma and Maria. And it’s their hard work every day that is bolstering the local energy grid’s reliability and resiliency against storms, and providing record reliability for our customers.”
