SEA ISLE CITY – Two McCann brothers, of the Sea Isle City McCann Family, recently celebrated 50 years at the Men of Malvern Retreat in Malvern, Pa., according to a release.
The McCanns were part of their father’s retreat group, Charles A. McCann, who founded the group in 1938. Charles A. McCann served as CA Captain and Annual Retreatant for 70 years.
During a recent retreat at Malvern, brothers Joe and Tom McCann were introduced to the audience by Tom McCann, Jr., who received a 15-year pin.
Tom McCann, Jr. is a third generation retreatant of Immaculate Conception for the McCanns.
Both Joe and Tom McCann are graduates of Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote, Pa., and both were Catholic League Track and Cross Country champions in the Philadelphia Catholic League.
Joe McCann is the co-owner of McCann Realtors and Joseph D. McCann Builders, both located in Sea Isle City.
Dr. Thomas McCann is the principal of the Vineland High School, in Vineland.
