CLERMONT – Forty-seven students from Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School competed in categories from health, medicine and chemistry to consumer science at the school’s annual STREAM Fair.
According to a release, projects incorporated elements from STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics).
Students studied such topics as acid rain, lithium vs. alkaline batteries, the effectiveness of natural vs. commercial mouthwashes, the science behind firing a cannon, and more.
Seventh-grader Natalie Nuss was named STREAM Fair Grand Champion for her project, “Understanding Drag,” which explored the aerodynamic force that boats encounter in the water. The following students also earned top honors in their categories:

· Earth & Environmental: Grace McMahon (1st), Annabelle Robine (2nd)
· Health, Medicine & Chemistry: Khushbu Pandya (1st), Michael Carr (2nd), Madeline Neill (3rd)
· Physics & Engineering: Natalie Nuss (1st), Imogene Nuss (2nd), Rocco Balestriere (3rd)
· Physical: Zachary Marks (1st), Anthony Edwardi (2nd), Charles Dunner (3rd)
The award winners qualify to go on to the next level to compete at the State level at Stockton University.
