Bishop McHugh School Celebrates Catholic Schools Week

COURT HOUSE – Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School celebrated Catholic Schools Week (CSW), Jan. 28 through Feb. 3, 2018. CSW is a national annual celebration of Catholic Education, and this year’s theme was “Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.”
Students attended Mass at their Parishes Jan. 28, to kick off Catholic Schools Week, where they heard from guest speakers. Jan. 29, classes were visited by members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including the army and the marines. Jan. 30, there was a family breakfast before school, and a curriculum showcase throughout the day. Jan. 31 was Student Appreciation Day, with visits from a therapy dog, an indoor field day and a winter chill party. Feb. 1, Grandparents Day featured a Reading Rumpus, where students and their grandparents circulated from room to room to hear stories. CSW concluded Feb. 2 with a prayer service, and Teacher Appreciation Day.  The parent/teacher/administrator group, PATH, and local businesses provided lunch for the teachers.
