COURT HOUSE – When best selling author James Rickards holds a book reading and signing at the Performing Arts Center of Middle Township on Friday night, Jan. 20, at 7, one of his listeners will have more than the usual literary interest.
Sarah Rickards, a student at Middle Township High School, is his niece and some of the proceeds from this event will enable her to spread the word about her high school and the area in which she lives when she travels to Europe in July as a student ambassador of the People to People program. She will visit France, Greece and Italy where she will learn about the culture, politics and history of those nations.
James Rickards is the author of the book, “Currency Wars, The Making of the Next Global Crisis,” which appeared on the best seller non-fiction list of The New York Times. The book has been described as a “captivating, articulate and thoughtful account of failed attempts by government s to create wealth by debasing their currencies.”
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and $17 on purchase of ten or more. Rickards’ books also will be available for purchase and signing.
Any additional proceeds from the event will benefit local scholarship funds.
