WILDWOOD – The final installation of the 2017 free Summer Lecture & Film Series will be July 27. Cape May Film will be partnering with Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum again to present “Across the Atlantic” a National Geographic Film about Charles Lindbergh, the first man to make a solo, Trans-Atlantic flight. The doors will open to the public at 6:30 and the film will start at approximately 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments will also be available at this free, family-fun event. NASW would like to thank Cape May Film for partnering with the museum and for making the Summer Lecture Series more diverse and helping increase awareness of the museum.
Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum is located in Historic Hangar #1 at the Cape May Airport. The airport was once Naval Air Station Wildwood, which served as a World War II dive-bomber training center. The museum is dedicated to the 42 airmen who perished while training at Naval Air Station Wildwood between 1943 and 1945. The museum is currently open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays in July and August open until 8 p.m.
