CLARK, STEVEN J.
Steven J Clark, 54 of Wildwood, NJ and Winter Springs, FL passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 in Wildwood. On June 28, 1971, the Lord decided he needed another emissary on earth. Steven fulfilled that position. Everyone admired his devotion to the Lord as he went about spreading joy with his infectious smile.
He nicknamed himself “The Loving Poet” as he composed almost 300 writings. Recently he wrote: “My heart is so big and true. I care about people and will do anything asked of me. I go outside into the world and give my love to those who admire and adore the Lord. I'm deeply grateful for my life and grateful to have you in my life. I care about the well -being of others because I have the Lord's graceful touch.”
Steve was the consummate volunteer wherever and whenever help was needed, especially if it involved helping children. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and thoroughly enjoyed discussing sports with the guys. He liked watching Nascar racing and researching jokes to share with vacationers who stayed at his Summerville Apartments in Wildwood.
Confined to a wheelchair the majority of his life, his mother and father were his devoted caregivers. Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis had gradually impaired his breathing. He took his last breath in the arms of his parents.
He was received in heaven by his paternal grandparents Andy and Anna Clark and his maternal grandparents Ray and Marge Gaynor in addition to many aunts, uncles and cousins who have passed.
He is survived by his parents Jerry and Margaret Anne (nee Gaynor) Clark; one brother David, sister-in-law Susan, and two nieces Kaitlyn and Kourtney Clark of Oviedo, FL. He will be sorely missed by his Gaynor and Clark uncles, aunts, cousins and his good friend Mike Celinski.
Services are private. The family respects the impact Steve has had on the Wildwood Community. They ask that you recall what Steve meant to you then share that memory with a loved one.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity devoted to child enrichment. Two special Wildwood organizations are the Lunch with Lynch Foundation and Amanda's Wish. Please visit lunchwithlynch.com/steve to see all the good things this organization provides for children. Donations to Amanda's Wish can be sent to 110 E. St. Paul Avenue, Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260.
