CHRISTY, LAWRENCE JOSEPH

CHRISTY,
LAWRENCE JOSEPH
We bid farewell to an incredible man, Lawrence Joseph Christy, who departed from this world on February 22nd 2025, at the age of 89. A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, his absence leaves a void in our hearts. Lawrence is survived by his wife Jerrilyn, of 60 years, his daughter Jennifer, son David, daughter-in-law Sara, and his two grandchildren, Charles and Abigail, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Larry, as he was known, was your friendly neighborhood insurance man, taking care of his customers as if they were family. He was very active with the Royal Rangers, a Christian Scouting Group. His love for the outdoors and helping others landed him in Haiti multiple times rebuilding churches and houses for the hurricane victims. At home, you could find him supporting our local Kiwanis Club with a smile, always ready to volunteer to raise money or help someone in need.
To commemorate his remarkable life and the memories, family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10 to 11am Friday, February 28th 2025 at Tabernacle Methodist Church 702 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ with a funeral service to follow at 11am. All who knew him are welcome to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed. Evoy Funeral Homes, Inc., PO Box 1010, 3218 Bayshore Road North, Cape May, NJ 08204 has been entrusted with arrangements.
