CAPE MAY – On several occasions some Cape May residents have used the public comment period at city council meetings to urge the governing body to schedule a town hall meeting.

The council responded to those requests Tuesday, Oct. 17, with a resolution formally establishing a “town hall city council meeting” Nov. 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the auditorium in City Hall.

Mayor Zack Mullock said the agenda has not yet been finalized but it will include updates on flood insurance and the joint county and city library project at the Franklin Street School. One citizen used public comment to urge that the town hall agenda deal with all the 2023 projects, among which she singled out the Promenade arches.

Unlike many previous town hall meetings, this one will be located at City Hall rather than the larger Convention Hall.
