We’re thrilled to announce something new and exciting happening at the Cape May Point Arts and Science Center. We have partnered with Seagrove Art Cooperative to introduce our first inaugural juried art show, and we’re proud to serve as the host for this special event.
The opening takes place with Thursday, July 25ths reception and features a stunning collection of paintings and sculptures by Southern New Jersey artists. Tickets are $20, and guests under 18 are free. Thanks to the hard work of chair, Laurel Nuschke, and the committee, the process will allow the art program at the CMPASC to expand over the years.
This show marks a meaningful expansion for us. While we’ve long been known for our science and writing programs, we’re now embracing the visual arts. The Seagrove Art Cooperative was formed to help bring this vision to life—and they’ve done just that. A dedicated team of five Cooperative members has been collaborating closely with our staff and summer interns to bring this event to fruition.
The response from the artistic community has been overwhelming—in the best way. We received 333 submissions from 76 different artists across the region. A jury panel of six members carefully reviewed each submission to curate a thoughtful and inspiring show. We’re honored to help provide a platform for so many talented local voices.
Guided by Artistic Director Daniel Magariel, the Cooperative shares our vision of turning CMPASC into a hub where artists of all ages and backgrounds can exhibit, connect, and grow. This show is just the beginning. We envision a future filled with workshops, artist residencies, and community exhibits.
Whether you’re an artist, an art lover, or someone curious to see the creativity flourishing in our region, we hope you’ll join us. Your support helps strengthen a growing arts community here at the Center.

We can’t wait to welcome you on July 25 for an evening of art, inspiration, and community.
