BURK McCARTHY,
BARBARA
1938 – 2025
Barbara Burk McCarthy died peacefully on February 19th, 2025. Barbara had a true Zest for Life, love of words, and the desire to continuously learn.
Prior to marriage Barbara was a popular teacher in Philadelphia area parochial schools, such as MDP in King of Prussia. Later she always made learning fun and creative for her children Tommy and Kelly. Once her own children were raised, Barbara became an endeared caretaker and tutor for numerous young students along the Main Line in Philadelphia.
Barbara is survived by her Husband Tom McCarthy, her son Tom Jr, Daughter Kelly and Son in Law Eric Cecilio, Sister Maureen Burk, Brothers James and Kevin Burk, and numerous Cousins, Neices and Nephews.
