BRITTON, ROBERT F., Jr.
Robert F. Britton, Jr., 79, of Lower Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. Born on January 24, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, Bob was raised in National Park, NJ and moved to Cape May County over 50 years ago.
Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his time in the service, Bob dedicated many years as the head custodian at Cape May City Elementary School, where his hard work and dedication touched the lives of staff and students alike. An unwavering sports enthusiast, Bob's love for basketball and the Philadelphia sports teams was infectious. He enthusiastically coached his nephews' tee ball teams.
Bob's legacy of love and care is carried on by his beloved wife, Carol W. Leonard-Britton, and his sisters, Barbara Reinhart, Betty Brown, Bonnie Spangler, and brother Bruce Britton with his wife Stephany. He cherished his role as a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House, NJ.
