NORTH WILDWOOD – The City Council has approved an extension of the operating hours of the Seaport Pier bar and restaurant during the Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood.

SPTWO, which operates the restaurant under a state liquor license, by city code must normally cease all sales and consumption of alcohol by 1 a.m. However, the operator asked to be allowed to continue service until 3 a.m. during the music festival, which runs June 19 to 22.

The City Council’s April 15 approval of the extension is contingent on an OK from the state Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Stipulations of the city’s approval say live music at the restaurant and bar must stop by 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, and Sunday, June 22. Music must stop by midnight on Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21.

The outdoor sale and service of alcohol must stop by 12:30 a.m. each day, and outdoor consumption of alcohol must cease by 1 a.m. Any activities at the site between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. must take place indoors.

In the event that ABC does not approve the change in hours for the special event, alcohol sales and service must cease at 1 a.m.
