From Atlantic Insulation Inc.

In April of 2020, as we were all staring down the face of COVID, Atlantic Insulation was fortunate to be part of the restoration of the new soon-to-be Harriet Tubman Museum in Cape May. At that time, we said, “it is our belief to not only look ahead at the good times to come but to also preserve the past.” That thought still holds true today.

One of our current projects is being part of the energy and insulation team at The Chalfonte Hotel, the oldest original hotel in Cape May. The vision for this project is to preserve the charm yet bring the modern-day comforts along while also being efficient. Not a small undertaking nor a task for just any company. Fortunately for us, the Mullock family understands the challenges and has asked us to join in to reach these goals. It takes both the owners’ vision alongside the correct contractor to bring these goals together.

Cape May has seen a tremendous resurgence over the past few years and with all our help it will continue for generations to come. Of course, how are we making this happen? Many can probably guess one of the biggest contributors is proper insulation and the use of Closed-cell foam. Since the days of the Chalfonte’s construction, we have seen constant change in the way we build over the past 100+ years.

Some methods have been faced with failure and many others have succeeded and brought us to where we are today. One thing we have proven time and time again is that proper air sealing while having controlled ventilation is the #1 way to make buildings healthy, comfortable, and efficient. Although Closed-cell foam is one of the items at the forefront let’s not forget a few of the other categories such as upgraded windows, HVAC systems, solar, and much more. Call us to arrange a consultation for your own personal project.

The Harriet Tubman Museum and The No Limits Academy are just a couple of causes we believe in and have contributed to. We will continue this along with our dedicated staff and clientele.
