Dogs on Seawall: Signs Posted, Ignored

By Cikalo

To the Editor:
While walking the seawall, numerous vacationers/residents were walking their dogs on the wall. Signs are posted, but ignored. Police were on their bikes patrolling the parking lot. They must have seen the animals on the wall and yet nothing was done.
Walkers and joggers must be on the lookout for any droppings that the dogs leave, yet the dog walkers do not clean up after the dogs.
If this is allowed, then the signs should be taken down.
Ed. Note: Dogs are permitted on the seawall, according to North Wildwood Police Captain John Stevenson. Here is a link to the ordinance: ecode360.com/8050732
