A heartless Spout from Dennis Township was posted on the Herald’s website over the weekend by our Spout Off moderators before they knew about the tragic deaths of Easton Beisler and Addiel Ortiz. The Spout was initially misunderstood to be about prayers at football games, which has been a controversial topic. We pulled it down as soon as we knew the context of it, and we never published it in print. Our hearts are broken for both families, and we cannot imagine the anguish they must be suffering now. We apologize that the Spout ever saw the light of day.
