Angelus Chorus Donates $4,000 to Help Local Homeless

David Wenker, president of the Angelus Chorus board, presents the final check of the $4400 donation to Barbara Allison of Cape Hope.

From the Angelus Chrous

Angelus Chorus, the community choir of Cape May County, raised funds during its 2024 summer season to help the local homeless. To this end, a $4,000 check was presented to Cape Hope, a faith-based advocacy organization focusing on homelessness located in Rio Grande. The donation is from the proceeds of the fundraising concert in June featuring the Angelus Chorus with Linda Gentille and the Jersey Shore Pops.

Thank you to our many sponsors who helped to cover the expenses for the concert: Church’s Garden Center, Smeltzer & Sons Garden Supplies, Sean Quigley’s Spring Mill Piano Gallery, Kindle Ford, Original Bruni’s Pizza, Bank of Elmer, Whalen’s Auto Repair, Rev, Keenan -Devlin, Edward Jones Financial Services, Leader Printers & Graphics..

Rehearsals for the Angelus Chorus will be on Monday nights starting September 9 at the Middle Township High School choral room from 7-8:30 p.m. There are no auditions.  More information can be found on our website www.angeluschorus.org or by contacting our email address AngelusChorus@gmail.com.
