The Mega lottery is now $5 a ticket and the PowerBall will soon follow. They raised it because they've found they sell more tickets when the jackpots get to near a $billion. With the cost of chasing a dream at $5, I doubt they care that it just makes poor people a little poorer. Yea, I know. They don't have to buy it. But when you have nothing, you dream more about having something, even if you can't afford to dream.
