SCAVETTI,
ANNA MARIE
It is with great sadness the family of Anna Marie Scavetti announces her transition into the arms of the Lord.
Anna Marie was born May 5, 1943, in Philadelphia PA to the late John and Florence (Mastrippolito) Rheinstadter. As a young girl she had a passion for the arts, especially dance. She studied tap, ballet, pointe and modern dance. She and her brother John performed together on many occasions.
On January 25, 1964, she married a young Italian boy named Joe Scavetti. She and Joe moved to Virginia where they lived before retiring to their home in Cape May County. Prior to her retirement, she worked as the Director of Human Resources for INOVA Health Systems in Virginia. She also worked in logistics as a traffic coordinator for the Red Cross ensuring the safety and relocation of families and those in need. Having a strong faith and love of God, she became active in her Church and volunteered her time at the gift shop at the local hospital.
Anna Marie will forever be missed by her husband of 61 years; children Lois (Dave) Wilson, Joseph Jr. (Maura) Scavetti and Heather (Scott) Stephens; eight grandchildren: Arianna, Austin, Alexa, Marie, Amanda, Diana, Brittany and Logan. She is also survived by her brother John Rheinstadter Jr.; her nephew, John Rheinstadter; niece, Dawn Ziegler; and many dear friends whom she considered family.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 10AM Friday, November 21st at The Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. John of God, 680 Townbank Road, North Cape May, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM immediately following the viewing. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
