Listen to Poe’s”The Tell-Tale Heart” at Rea’s Farm on Halloween  

You can’t miss Rea’s Farm, just look for the big red barn in West Cape May.

What:  Classic American Tales presents Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart”, performed by artistic director Gayle Stahlhuth

When: Two shows on October 31st, at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 

Where: Rea’s Farm, 400 Stevens Street, West Cape May

Throughout the summer, Rea’s Farm offered special events on Friday nights, and this Halloween, will be no different. On October 31st, Classic American Tales’ artistic director Gayle Stahlhuth, will present Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart”. Stahlhuth is an actor, director, playwright, producer, storyteller, and teacher, who has performed off-Broadway in touring shows, regional theater, TV and film, including her own one-person shows at both The Smithsonian and Arvada Center. The National League of Professional Women honored her in 2016 for her work as a theater professional and she is listed in the newest edition of The Cambridge Guide to American Theatre (2008).

Rea’s Farm will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the day of the event, and the Big Red Barn will be decorated for the spooky occasion. Admission is free, so people are encouraged to bring the whole family and come in costume. The event will also feature hayrides, a pumpkin patch, and a corn maze. Farmer’s Market Vendors will include Obscura Brewery, Rita’s, Nonna Lisa, Gigi’s House, Exit 000 Skincare, Nauti Spirits, and more. Dinner and bottles of wine from Cape May Winery will be available for purchase. 

Next up for Classic American Tales (CAT) is “Christmas Cheer”, which will be presented on Sunday, December 14 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., performed by Michele LaRue. The event will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine.
