Indictments Filed Oct. 21

Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 16 indictments Oct. 21. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Harold Perez-Heredia was named in a 13-count indictment that included a first-degree count for running a CDS production facility. The indictment contained six second-degree counts, two for possession with intent to distribute, three for possession of a CDS, and one for possession of a weapon while committing certain CDS crimes, a handgun. There were three third-degree counts for endangering the welfare of a child, along with two other third-degree counts, for financial facilitation of a crime and hindering apprehension. The final count was in the fourth degree, for possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia. The controlled substances in question were cocaine, fentanyl and carfentanil.

Samus S. Flynn faces a second-degree count for eluding police, along with two fourth-degree counts for unlawful possession of a weapon, a knife, and certain person. Flynn was previously convicted of making terroristic threats and possession of a CDS.

Carley A. McPherson was indicted on five counts, one count of second-degree aggravated assault, two counts of third-degree aggravated assault, one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and one for fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Jonathan Ramos was indicted for receiving a stolen motor vehicle, a U-Haul truck.

Ezekiel X. Cota-Crow faces a six-count indictment with two third-degree counts for arson and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, two machetes. There were four fourth-degree counts, for unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, criminal mischief and obstructing the administration of law.

Lexary Medina-Feliciano was indicted for a single count of third-degree aggravated assault.

Jason Andriola faces a single count of fourth-degree stalking, which took place from Aug. 1 to Aug. 4 in North Wildwood.

Darryl J. Jones was named in a four-count indictment, a first-degree count of drug-induced death,two second-degree counts for manslaughter and aggravated assault, and a third-degree count for distribution of a CDS. The indictment did not specify the controlled substance.

Jonathan Moyaperez was indicted for third-degree criminal mischief, along with two fourth-degree counts for hindering apprehension and obstructing the administration of law.

Vaughn Downes faces three third-degree counts, two for aggravated assault and one for resisting arrest. The indictment also contained a fourth-degree count, for obstructing the administration of law.

Christopher S. Meier was indicted on a single count of third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine.

Brandon A. Strausser was indicted for fourth-degree possession of a prohibited weapon, a baton.

Kandace M. Camacho faces two third-degree counts, for theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Ahmad A. Chery and Lesaun Rhodes were jointly indicted for fraudulent use of a credit card and conspiracy, both counts in the third degree, along with theft in the fourth degree.

Raheem J. Harris faces a count of second-degree eluding police, along with two fourth-degree counts for unlawful possession of a weapon, a knife, and certain person. Harris was convicted in Mercer county of aggravated assault in 2004.

James L. Kelly was indicted on three second-degree counts, for sexual assault on a victim younger than 13 years old and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
