To the Spouter always fretting about Public Safety spending — maybe take a closer look. Two other departments are already spending well beyond their budgets, and another’s gearing up for hefty wage hikes far above the COLA (that’s Cost-of-Living Adjustment, in case you didn’t know) due to a change in local representation. You focus on Public Safety — but tell me, do you feel safe in our town? I bet you do. Maybe try being thankful for that instead of constantly and unjustly complaining.
