The picture of the destroyed Marconi's Carousel from the 1962 nor'easter storm on page A54 of the October 15 addition prompted me to look into a folder that I have of pictures from that storm. They come from Avalon Manor. Probably more than fifty pictures along with images of what was written on the back. The woman that took them wrote the notes on the back for insurance purposes. Really haunting to just look at these great old black-and-white images. These were great people that work together using rollers and other equipment to put the houses back if they could be saved.
